My name is Donita Thompson and I have lived at the Lake of the Ozarks since 1978.

I received my Missouri Real Estate License and was inducted into the Lake of the Ozarks Board of REALTORS® in 2003. 

I joined Associated Brokers, Lake of the Ozarks in 2004.

I received my "First Million Dollar Year" award in 2005.

I have served on the Lake of the Ozarks Board of REALTORS® MLS Committee continually since 2005.

I served on the Lake of the Ozarks Board of REALTORS® Education Committee for 2007 - and I am  the Chair for 2008.

I am serving on the Lake of the Ozarks Board of REALTORS® as the Board Secretary for 2008.

I am in the process of obtaining my GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) Designation.

When my husband and I began our search for the perfect lake house, perfect was the key word.  We had very specific parameters that it had to fall into.  As we had always kept our boat at the lake, but had never owned a home, we were far more familiar with the lake by water than by land.  We knew what mile marker stretch we wanted to live within, but were not quite as familiar with the driving directions to those lake locations.  So, after fruitlessly searching for almost 2 years for the perfect balance of water location and someplace that was close in to the St. Louis side of the lake, we had almost thrown in the towel and just purchased a condo.  That's when I found Donita.  From the very beginning she could not have been more helpful.  I gave her the specifics and she would routinely send me MLS listings that fit those guidelines.  She even checked out some of the homes ahead of time for me and eliminated those that she knew I wouldn't like, so as to save me time on my day trips to the lake to view the homes.  She stuck with me for over 6 months until we found "our place."  Not once did she lose patience with me when I was being too particular.  In the end, we were able to purchase the home of our dreams, and our weekends have never been more peaceful.  We love our lake home and we love the service that we received from Donita. If she is your agent, you are very lucky.
